Tips: Create a Fill-able PDF Form

Friday, September 20, 2013

Learning, knowing, and enjoying many business and office software, really help your work more efficient. You don't need a super duper awesome PC to make your life better, lol, just kidding! So, today I'm gonna share you guys, step by step, how to create a fill-able PDF form, by using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. But, trust me, I'm not the only person in this world who realized how cool this software is, too old-fashioned tho. Anyhoo, please ignore my spelling and grammar error, I tried to simplify the steps, but as visual person, so I'm gonna describe it per pictures..
Step 1: I recommend you to create the form by using Microsoft Word, as you can see at the picture above. I made a very simple form from here. After your form is finished, save it, and convert it into the PDF format.
Step 2: Open the PDF file, by using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. Then choose "Form" --> "Start from Wizard"
Step 3: There will be 3 choices (as far as I know), and I suggest you to select "an existing electronic document" (the form you made before)
Step 4: And another choices, please select "use the current document" or if you want to create form from another file, select the other one (:
Step 5: When you finished the previously step, then Adobe Acrobat will automatically identify blank fields, and you are ready to edit the form!
Step 6, 7, 8, 9: Right-Click at the field we want to edit and select Properties, or just double-click! Actually, we NEED to edit all the fields, because you know, it's default setting. I merged these steps because basically, it's depend on your needs..
Step 10: What happened then if Adobe Acrobat can't identify some blank fields. Keep calm! You still can create them manually.
Step 11: Last step! If you guess the form is finished editing the form, then select "Close Form Editing" The system will ask you, where you want to save your fill-able PDF file.

and voila!

Easy right? Good luck and have a very nice weekend! Angger
